Robertson Elected to State Hospital Panels

Rockville, Md. - William G. Robertson, president and CEO of Adventist HealthCare in Rockville , was elected to the Maryland Hospital Association’s Executive Committee and to chair MHA’s Community Hospitals Connection at the association’s annual membership meeting last month.

"I am grateful for this opportunity to work alongside both members of MHA's Executive Committee and the Community Hospitals Connection in improving the quality of patient care and the health status of communities throughout Maryland ,” Robertson said. “It is an honor to have been elected to serve in both positions.”

He has previously served on MHA’s Executive Committee as a CEO Councillor-at-Large, the Council on Legislative and Regulatory Policy and the MHA Presidential Search Committee. He has also served as vice chairman of the Community Hospitals Connection.

Robertson, who took over Adventist HealthCare in 2000, is also the current chairman of the Governor’s Workforce Investment Board and serves as a member of the boards of the Strathmore Hall Foundation and Columbia Union Conference, among others.

Robertson, a Montgomery County resident, will chair the Community Hospitals Connection for a one-year term, after which he will be eligible for re-election to two additional terms in that position.
