JCAHO Quality Check

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations Quality Check is one source of accreditation and comparison information that a person can use to determine whether a health care organization will meet his or her needs.

How a Patient Should Utilize These Reports

These reports reflect our performance on specific quality measures. Quality measures give you information about how well a hospital provides care for some (but not all) patients. The quality measures reported on these sites reflect certain components of recommended care for patients with three of the most common conditions requiring hospitalization: heart attack, heart failure, and pneumonia. Most of these sites reflect data from 2004, so they do not include our most current performance rates. There is generally a six to twelve month lag time before the web sites upload the data we send them on a regular basis.

We encourage you to review these reports and talk to your health care provider about what this information means. We also welcome your questions about our performance in the care of these and other conditions.
