• My BMI is 37, I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, (both controlled by meds) and I have had microscopic collitis. About a year ago, I was also put on synthroid for my thyroid. There is a family history of stroke and diabetes. I have read that lab band is not recommended with some gastric problems but don't know what they are. Would I be a candidate for lap band?
