Dear 2008 Race for the Cure Supporters,
I want to thank everyone who contributed, pledged, participated and supported the 2008 Shady Grove Adventist Hospital National Race for the Cure Team. The temperature and humidity soared but that did not keep the majority of our team members from participating.
Nearly 50,000 breast cancer survivors, co-survivors, celebrities and activists gathered for the 19th Annual Susan G. Komen National Race for the Cure. The event raised $4.9 million to fund breast cancer research and community health programs for the medically under served in the National Capital Area.
We exceeded our team goal of 85 members and our team fund-raising goal of $8500. With your continued support, Iook forward to exceeding these numbers in 2009!
