The following is a listing of Shady Grove Adventist Hospital affiliated sleep physicians:

Konrad W. Bakker, M.D. is a graduate of the University of Amsterdam School of Medicine, The Netherlands, 1981. He performed rotating internships at the University of Leiden Medical Center, The Netherlands during 1981 and 1982. Dr. Bakker was a visiting fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD during 1983-1984. His Neurology residency was at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC from 1984-1987. He is board certified in Neurology, with added qualifications in Neurophysiology, by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

He is board certified in Electro Diagnostic Medicine by the American Board of Electro Diagnostic Medicine. Dr. Bakker is board certified in Sleep Medicine, and is an active member of the American Sleep Disorders Association, American Neurological Association and the American Society of Neuroimaging. He holds the position of Clinical Instructor at Georgetown University Medical School, and is one of the directors of Shady Grove Sleep Disorders Center and is a staff member at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.
